I’m Faye and this is the place where my stories live. I’m their landlady. My pronouns are she/they and I still haven’t beat Dark Souls 3 yet but I came really close.

as a writer I always have my pen with me, hidden within a fold of skin specially grown for this purpose

I write slipstream and Weird fiction. What this means is I like it when a wizard can wear Nikes and can ride in a spaceship made of meat and kiss her girlfriend. Etcetera. My main inspirations are Catch-22, Slaughterhouse 5, Moby Dick, the Grant Morrison Doom Patrol comics, Italo Calvino (especially Invisible Cities), Hellboy, China Mieville, and loads of other things I can’t remember, and also this list is getting very long. You should read all of these things. But not right now. You seem busy.

I like to write very dark and violent settings filled up with people who are mostly kind. I describe sunsets too much; this is because sunsets are the greatest and kindest things in the world, alongside molluscs, the noises that spotted turtledoves make, and the intense brassy colour the streetlights turn my local roads when it comes nighttime.
